Islamabad: December 12, 2025

Customs Enforcement Quetta, in a major crackdown against smuggling, has seized a large cache of illicit goods valued at approximately Rs. 500 million during multiple raids conducted on godowns in and around Quetta city. The recovered items include betel nuts, cigarettes, Chinese salt, Indian medicines, skimmed milk powder, spare parts, and misdeclared dates, all smuggled into the country in violation of customs laws.

Acting on credible intelligence provided by the Collector of Customs Enforcement, Quetta, teams of the Collectorate — in coordination with other law enforcement agencies — carried out a series of targeted operations as part of the ongoing intensified enforcement campaign against illegal trade networks.

The seized goods have been taken into custody, and legal proceedings under the Customs Act, 1969 have been formally initiated against those involved.

FBR while appreciating the efforts of Customs Enforcement Quetta, reaffirmes its firm resolve to curb smuggling, dismantle illicit supply chains, and protect the national economy.
