Champions of this national league will be awarded caps by the Our Honorable Prime Minister, Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan

The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme in collaboration with Lahore Qalandars formally launched the PM Youth Cricket National League 2025 at the Capital Smart City Cricket Ground in Islamabad. The opening ceremony was attended by Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, Atif Naeem Rana Owner & CEO of Lahore Qalandars, as well as the participating players and their team officials.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan highlighted the government’s continued commitment to creating sports opportunities for youth both within Pakistan and abroad. He emphasized that the young athletes selected for the league represent the future of the country and noted that their participation reflects the trust placed in them at the highest levels of national leadership.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan highlighted that the teams and players who become champions of this Cricket national league will be awarded caps by the Our Honorable Prime Minister, reflecting the government’s commitment to honoring outstanding youth talent in sports.

He acknowledged the exceptional determination of female athletes present at the ceremony, recognizing the additional challenges they often face. Their participation was described as a significant achievement and an important indicator of the growing role of women in Pakistan’s sports landscape.

During his visit, the Chairman commended the high-quality sports infrastructure at the venue. He stated that the facilities at the Capital Smart City Cricket Ground are at par with several international stadiums he has observed in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka. He expressed confidence that, in collaboration with organizers, efforts will be made to bring new and international-level cricket matches to the stadium in the future.

Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan encouraged all participating players to showcase their full potential during the Cricket National league, noting that the progress and development of Pakistan are directly linked to the energy, talent, and dedication of its youth. He emphasize the government’s commitment to supporting young people in reaching new heights in sports and national development.

The PM Youth Cricket National League 2025 aims to provide a professional platform for emerging talent from across Pakistan, enabling young players to compete, grow, and gain exposure to national and international opportunities.
