Pakistan Proud of Azerbaijan’s Leadership as Baku Hosts OIC Cultural Festival 2025: Aurangzeb Khichi

Pakistan’s Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, has said that Pakistan takes great pride in Azerbaijan’s leadership in hosting the landmark OIC Cultural Festival: Baku Creative Week – 2025, describing the event as a powerful platform for cultural, creative, and intellectual exchange within the Islamic world.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Khichi said Baku had emerged as an important meeting point for the Muslim world, providing new momentum to cooperation among Islamic nations. He emphasised that Pakistan, as a brotherly country, values Azerbaijan’s efforts in promoting cultural diplomacy and commended its contributions at both regional and global levels.

He noted that Pakistan is always ready to actively participate in initiatives that strengthen Islamic solidarity and promote shared cultural values. “We see this platform not merely as a festival, but as a significant opportunity for cultural rapprochement, creative exchange, and strategic cooperation within the Islamic world,” he said.

Khichi added that the shared history, cultural roots, and religious unity of Islamic nations bind them together in a genuine partnership, and Pakistan remains committed to supporting cooperation at all levels to further strengthen this unity.

He expressed confidence that Azerbaijan’s ongoing cultural initiatives would continue to reinforce the cultural identity of the Islamic world and deepen cooperation among member states.
