Pakistan Customs Foils an Attempt to Smuggle MDMA Tablets Worth 320.687 Million Through International Mail

Islamabad: December 8, 2025

The Air Cargo Control Unit (ACCU) of the Collectorate of Customs Airports, Karachi, has successfully intercepted a major narcotics smuggling attempt, seizing 10,226 MDMA (ecstasy) tablets worth Rs. 320.687 million from a parcel arriving from Germany through the International Mail Office, Karachi.

During a detailed examination, Customs officials discovered the concealed tablets hidden inside speakers and LED lamps, despite the parcel being declared as “clothes and electronics etc.” The timely detection prevented the high-value narcotics from entering Pakistan market.

FBR reiterates its firm resolve to uphold strict vigilance and maintain enhanced scrutiny across all channels, including international mail, to combat smuggling and protect society from the spread of dangerous narcotics.
