In a keynote address at the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Parliamentary Secretary for Information and Broadcasting, Barrister Danyal Chaudhry, stated that Pakistan’s economy has stabilized and is now on a clear trajectory toward sustained growth.
The event was presided over by the Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, as the Chief Guest.
Barrister Danyal credited the nation’s business leaders as the driving force behind this progress, describing them as the “backbone and heart” of the government’s economic agenda. He contrasted the current climate with the situation upon taking office, stating, “When we assumed office, Pakistan was facing severe economic challenges. Today, after a focused period of stabilization, we are not just walking; we are building the momentum to run.”
The Parliamentary Secretary acknowledged that certain tough fiscal measures were unavoidable, stemming from prior international commitments. However, he assured attendees that these policies are now being managed by a competent team focused on long-term health rather than short-term fixes. “As our recovery gains speed, we anticipate a more favorable business environment with eased fiscal pressures,” Barrister Danyal projected.
He cited tangible successes, including the significant turnaround of Pakistan Railways under Minister Hanif Abbasi, as evidence of broader institutional revival.
Praising the RCCI’s critical role, Barrister Danyal called the organization the “cornerstone of regional commerce” and pledged ongoing collaboration. “The nation’s prosperity is inextricably linked to your success. Our goal is a Pakistan that stands firmly on its own feet, thriving through public-private partnership,” he concluded.
