The Federal Minister for Board of Investment (BOI), Mr. Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, held an important meeting with the delegation of PREF (Pakistan Regional Economic Forum) today in Islamabad.
The PREF delegation included Vice Admiral (R) Hisham Khan, senior economist and former Chairman BOI, Mr. Haroon Sharif, Mr. Khalid Mansoor, former CEO of HUBCO and Thar Coal projects and Ambassador (R) Naghmana A. Hashim. The delegation represents PREF, a platform duly registered with SECP.
During the meeting, a comprehensive discussion took place on investment promotion, policy reforms, and strengthening economic cooperation. Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh appreciated the delegation’s proposals and highlighted the government’s commitment to facilitating investors through improved regulatory frameworks and pro-business policies.
Both sides agreed on the importance of enhancing regional economic connectivity and encouraging new investment avenues in key development sectors. Strengthening public–private partnership between BOI and PREF remained a key point of the discussion.
Federal Minister emphasized that the Board of Investment continues to work on structural reforms aimed at investor-friendly policies, adding that BOI remains committed to promoting investment in Pakistan and supporting sustainable economic growth.
