Customs Enforcement Gadani Destroys Huge Quantity of Illicit and Hazardous Goods

The Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Gadani has destroyed a large cache of illicit, banned, contraband and expired goods which included 614.6 MT of betel nuts, 85.7 MT of gutka and supari, 21,261 outers of foreign-origin cigarettes, and 21.25 MT of China salt in a major operation at FEU Khurkhera. The action was conducted with full transparency and in strict compliance with all legal and procedural requirements.

The goods seized comprised of items deemed harmful to public health, illegal under import regulations or unfit for human consumption. Their seizure and subsequent destruction reflects FBR’s strong commitment to preventing the circulation of prohibited and hazardous products in the local market.

The incineration ceremony was attended by officers and staff of Customs Enforcement Gadani, along with the Deputy Commissioner and DPO Hub, Judicial Magistrate, representatives of the Environment Department, Pakistan Tobacco Company, Philip Morris, and officials from law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

The Federal Borad of Revenue reiterates its resolve to curb smuggling, enforce regulatory controls, and safeguard the health and safety of citizens through sustained enforcement actions.
