Federal Minister Inaugurates BISP Camp Office in Sahiwal, Highlights Government’s Commitment to Poverty Reduction

Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, inaugurated the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Camp Office in Sahiwal today. Following the inauguration, the Minister addressed the media and highlighted the government’s comprehensive efforts to reduce poverty and improve social welfare across the country.

The Minister stated that the Government of Pakistan has launched a series of integrated and targeted initiatives to uplift vulnerable communities. He emphasized that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is fully committed to the welfare and economic well-being of the people, ensuring that all possible measures are taken to support low-income families.

Syed Imran Ahmad Shah underscored that eliminating unemployment and enhancing public prosperity remain top government priorities. He noted that the Ministry, in collaboration with various welfare and development organizations, is working diligently to ease the lives of citizens and expand the reach of social protection services.

The Federal Minister reiterated that Pakistan is firmly on the path to progress and development, adding that those who anticipated an economic default have been disappointed. He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s standing in the international community has significantly improved, and the nation’s resilience has strengthened its global reputation.

He further remarked that following the country’s successful struggle against economic and security challenges, the respect and dignity of Pakistanis have increased at the global level.
