Jammu Martyrs’ Day reminds us of the unparalleled sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people for their freedom, dignity, and right to self-determination. I pay rich tribute to all those martyrs who stood fearlessly against oppression and tyranny, sacrificing their lives to send a clear message to the world that the struggle for freedom cannot be suppressed through force.
The tragic morning of November 6, 1947, marks one of the darkest chapters in history when the Dogra forces, in collaboration with RSS extremists and their supporters, unleashed terror upon hundreds of thousands of Muslims in Jammu. More than two hundred thousand innocent lives were lost in this horrific massacre, and thousands of families were forced to flee their homes and migrate. This organized act of brutality permanently altered the demographic composition of Jammu.
Today, we salute the determination, sacrifice, and steadfastness of those martyrs. Their struggle reminds us that the Kashmiri people's aspiration for freedom remains a living reality — one that will continue from generation to generation. Pakistan will continue to extend its moral, political, and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir at all times.
