Marking a new chapter in the promotion of sports—particularly football—in Pakistan, His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), Senior Vice President of FIFA, and a distinguished member of the Royal Family of Bahrain, will undertake an official visit to Pakistan from 4th to 7th November 2025.
As per the directions of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa has been declared a “State Guest” during his visit. He will be accompanied by senior AFC officials and other representatives from the football community.
During the visit, His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa is scheduled to hold important meetings with Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Inter-Provincial Coordination and Political Affairs, as well as with other senior civil and military leadership.
These meetings will focus on infrastructure development in the field of football, enhancing youth participation in sports, and exploring avenues of cooperation on sports development projects in Pakistan.
On this occasion, Senator Rana Sanaullah Khan Advisor to the Prime Minister on Inter-Provincial Coordination, stated “We extend our heartfelt welcome to His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Asian Football Confederation, Senior Vice President of FIFA, and a respected member of the Royal Family of Bahrain, along with his distinguished delegation. We are confident that this historic visit will lay the foundation for a new era of football development in Pakistan. It will not only promote sports but also strengthen sports diplomacy, youth empowerment, and regional cooperation between Pakistan, Bahrain, and other Asian nations.”
The Government of Pakistan, the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination, and all relevant departments have finalized the arrangements to ensure the successful and impactful conduct of this high-profile visit.
