Minister of State for Federal Education Wajiha Qamar Visits Quetta

Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Qamar paid a detailed visit to the INOVISTA DHA Quetta Center, where Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence courses are being conducted under the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTECH).

During the visit, Director INOVISTA Colonel (R) Imran Tauqir briefed the minister about the courses, institutional activities, and students’ performance. He informed that three-month modern courses on Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity are being offered under NAVTECH, with 50 students enrolled in each program. He added that biometric attendance has been introduced to ensure discipline and regularity. Colonel Tauqir stated that the youth of Balochistan are confident, hardworking, and contributing effectively to the country’s development through modern technology.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State Wajiha Qamar said that Pakistan’s youth are the nation’s most valuable asset. Following the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the government is introducing modern, demand-driven courses to bring Balochistan’s youth into the mainstream and create employment opportunities for them. She said that through federal government initiatives, 53,000 young men and women in Balochistan are being trained in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, which marks a major milestone in the province’s development. She added that six Danish Schools are also being established in Balochistan to ensure access to quality education for every child.

Wajiha Qamar emphasized that Balochistan is close to our hearts, and it is essential to showcase its positive image to the world. She said that all Pakistanis must unite to counter the malicious designs of India, whose conspiracies will always fail. “Pakistan was founded on the principle of one Kalima, and no one can weaken its foundations,” she added.

During her visit, the minister inspected classrooms, met with students, and appreciated their enthusiasm and dedication. Addressing the participants, she said that the time has passed when young people waited for jobs — now they must become skilled to create their own opportunities. She urged students and teachers to master modern technologies to place Pakistan firmly on the path of a digital economy, enabling the nation to join the ranks of developed countries.

Minister Wajiha Qamar appreciated the efforts of the NAVTECH administration and assured the establishment of more technical education centers across Balochistan.

Director NAVTECH Hussain Bakhsh Magsi and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
