The Acting Ambassador of the United States to Pakistan, Ms. Natalie E. Baker, met with Pakistan’s Minister of State for Finance and Railways, Mr. Bilal Azhar Kayani, on Tuesday to discuss matters of mutual interest and the promotion of bilateral relations between Pakistan and the United States.
During the meeting, both sides held extensive discussions on Pakistan's macroeconomic development and strengthening the ongoing partnership. Minister Kayani briefed the US Acting Ambassador on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's vision for economic stability and sustainable development. He also highlighted the government's comprehensive reform agenda for Pakistan Railways and provided details on its implementation, focusing on modernization and efficiency.
Ms. Baker welcomed the increasing cooperation between Pakistan and the US, particularly in the areas of trade and commerce, expressing optimism for future growth. The two leaders reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close contact and agreed to continue efforts for the further enhancement of bilateral ties between the two nations.
