Today, a landmark tripartite development agreement was formally signed between the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), the Defence Housing Authority (DHA), and the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) for the joint residential project — Margalla Orchard Park Road Housing Scheme.
The signing ceremony took place at the Supreme Court Bar Association Hostel Auditorium (Legend Hotel), Islamabad, in the presence of distinguished guests including the Federal Minister of Law, Azam Nazir Tarar, and Housing Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada.
In his address, Minister Tarar emphasized that lawyers hold a significant position in society and assured that the grievances of the legal fraternity are being addressed on a priority basis. He vowed that projects for the welfare of lawyers would not be sacrificed for political agendas, and asserted that consultations with the legal community would continue in legal reform initiatives. He also noted that important reforms have already been introduced in the criminal justice system.
The agreement—vetted and cleared by the Ministry of Law—marks the commencement of a new stage in the realization of the Margalla Orchard scheme. With the formal signing completed, development work has already commenced and will now be further accelerated.
