It has been decided in principle to relocate the headquarters of the Federal Constabulary from Peshawar to Islamabad. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed that suitable land for the headquarters be identified and has sought master plan for the new facilities.

?In this regard, an important meeting was held at CDA headquarters under the chairmanship of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi which was also attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry. The Interior Minister directed the concerned CDA officials to allocate appropriate land in the federal capital for the Federal Constabulary headquarters. He emphasized that while identifying the land, the requirements of both the headquarters and training facilities should be given special consideration.

?Mohsin Naqvi stated that the Federal Constabulary will be developed on modern foundations with the aim of transforming it into a well-structured and highly effective force.

?The meeting was attended by the Federal Secretary Interior, Commandant and Deputy Commandant of the Federal Constabulary, Chairman CDA, IG Islamabad Police, DC Islamabad, and other senior officials.
