Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Khalid Hussain Magsi, called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad, today. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the ongoing initiatives and future plans aimed at promoting science and technology in the country.
The Federal Minister briefed the President on the ministry’s current projects and policy measures, emphasizing the importance of modern research and technological advancement to place Pakistan on the path of sustainable development. It was agreed during the meeting that the national education curriculum would be aligned with modern scientific knowledge, critical thinking, and emerging technologies to equip the youth with the skills required to meet future challenges.
President Zardari appreciated the efforts of the Ministry of Science and Technology and reaffirmed his commitment to establishing a comprehensive and effective system for the promotion of science and technology. He highlighted the need for fostering research and strengthening collaboration with the private sector to ensure the country’s progress in line with modern-day requirements.
