Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Division, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, inaugurated major art exhibition curated by Asim Akhtar at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) on Tuesday.
The exhibition, “A Restrained Grace”, showcases drawings by the late Ustad Bashir ud Din (1922–1997), highlighting the master’s refined artistic expression and contribution to Pakistan’s visual arts. While the, “Bleeding Borders”, features contemporary installation works by renowned artist Amin Rehman, exploring socio-political themes with powerful visual narratives.
Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Aurangzeb Khan Khichi lauded PNCA for organizing exhibitions that reflect both national heritage and international artistic trends. He praised the curators and organizers for their efforts in bringing diverse art forms to the forefront, fostering cultural appreciation among the public.
The minister also visited the galleries where Amin Rehman personally briefed him about the concept behind the installations and the significance of the artworks on display.
The exhibitions are open to the public and will continue at PNCA until September 12, 2025.
