Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Dr. Musadik Malik, undertook a visit to the River Chenab to review the situation on ground.
During the visit, the Minister met with rescue personnel stationed in the area and lauded their dedication, public service, and tireless efforts in safeguarding lives. He paid tribute to their commitment, noting that it is through the hard work and sacrifices of rescue institutions that precious lives can be protected.
Dr. Malik also held interactions with local communities to listen to their concerns and assess their needs. He further reviewed the precautionary and administrative measures undertaken along the riverbanks to mitigate risks.
On the occasion, the Federal Minister emphasized that the Government of Pakistan considers the protection of citizens’ lives and property as its foremost priority. He reaffirmed that all available resources will be mobilized to counter flood-related threats, ensuring timely and effective response to any potential emergency situation.
