5th August – A Black Day in Kashmir’s History: India’s unilateral Actions a Blatant Violation of International Law: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi in his special message on Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir, said that August 5 marks the darkest day in the history of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). He said that India has committed a blatant violation of UN Security Council resolutions and international law by unilaterally revoking the special constitutional status of IIOJK.

Interior Minister added that the Modi regime has trampled the constitutional rights, identity, and freedom of the Kashmiri people through sheer force. He condemned the ongoing oppression, extrajudicial killings, media blackout, suppression of freedom of expression, and the imposition of prolonged curfews, which have turned the valley into a graveyard of human rights.

Mohsin Naqvi further stated that under the new domicile law, millions of Hindu settlers are being resettled in the valley to reduce the indigenous population to a minority. The Interior Minister stressed that the crisis in IIOJK lament for the apathy of the international community. He added that even the sincere offer of mediation by U.S. President Donald Trump failed to move the Modi government.

Interior Minister warned that India’s unilateral actions pose a grave threat to peace in South Asia, and the Kashmir issue urgently demands international attention. He paid tribute to the unarmed Kashmiris who continue their struggle for freedom despite facing illegal and inhumane tactics. He reaffirmed that everyone in Pakistan stands with the Kashmiris, and Pakistan will continue its moral, political, and diplomatic support for them at every forum.
