Islamabad: July 24, 2025

In a powerful display of national pride and resilience, the Pakistan Street Child Football Team, accompanied by their coaches and management, visited the Prime Minister’s Office on 24th July 2025. The team received a warm and enthusiastic welcome as they prepare to represent Pakistan in the prestigious Norway Cup and upcoming UK tour.

The young athletes, most of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds, have risen above difficult circumstances through sheer determination and the support of the charitable organization Muslim Hands, which has played a critical role in their transformation. Their journey from the streets to international stadiums stands as a moving testament to the power of opportunity, guidance, and self-belief.

Chairman Prime Minister’s Youth Programme Rana Mashood Ahmad Khan paid tribute to the courage and talent of the team. “These children are not just footballers — they are ambassadors of hope,” he said. “Their story sends a powerful message: when youth are given a platform, they don’t just succeed — they inspire a nation. The government will continue to support such transformative initiatives that turn adversity into achievement.”

The Youth Affairs Wing of the Prime Minister’s Office reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive sports and youth empowerment under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme. Chairman Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan emphasized the government's vision to use sports as a vehicle for social integration, mental well-being, and global representation for youth from all walks of life.

Officials from the Prime Minister’s Secretariat lauded the role of civil society organizations like Muslim Hands for their dedication to nurturing the talent of marginalized children. They acknowledged that such partnerships between the government and development partners are essential for a stronger, more equitable Pakistan.

The event concluded with a heartfelt exchange of souvenirs, group photographs, and enthusiastic words of encouragement from senior officials. As the team embarks on their international journey, they carry not just the hopes of their communities but the admiration and full support of the nation.
