In a historic step toward fostering social equity and humanitarian support, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) and Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) inks a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on initiatives aimed at serving the deserving and economically disadvantaged segments of society.
In a glorious ceremony, Managing Director PBM Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt and Managing Director OPF Muhammad Afzaal Bhatti validated the MoU with their signatures. The ceremony was held here at PBM’s Head Office, attended by Director General PBM Prof. Dr. Zeeshan Danish, Member OPF Muhammad Kamran Khan and other key representatives from both organizations. The agreement outlines a shared vision to implement sustainable projects focused on healthcare, education, food security, and livelihood development for the underprivileged.
Speaking at the occasion, Managing Director PBM Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, while expressing his long-standing relationship with OPF, stated that “This partnership marks a new chapter in our ongoing mission to bring hope and tangible support to those who need it most. Together, we will create a more inclusive and compassionate society.” Capt. Shaheen also reaffirmed his commitment to implement the vision of the federal government for mitigating the sufferings of poor populace in the country.
On the occasion, Managing Director OPF, Afzaal Bhatti remarked that by combining our resources, networks, and passion for service, we are confident this collaboration will make a meaningful impact in the lives of many beneficiaries of PBM. Terming it a memorable agreement, he anticipated for the accelerated efforts by the concerned officials of both organizations making it fruitful for the needy persons. Managing Director OPF also explained his passion for taking every possible step for the welfare of the Pakistani People, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The MoU is designed to promote the collaborative efforts of both organizations on identifying vulnerable communities, mobilizing resources, and implementing grassroots programs. The initiative emphasizes transparency, accountability, and long-term impact. It also aims to enable PBM beneficiaries, especially orphans, child laburers and other vulnerable groups to access quality education in OPF Schools as well as support in e-learning, capacity building and research.
