A high-level meeting with representatives from all Chambers of Commerce and Industry was held today at the Ministry of Finance under the chairmanship of Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on industries and production.
The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Bilal Azhar Kayani, Minister of State for Finance. Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Prime Minister’s Coordinator Mr. Rana Ehsan Afzal, and FBR chairman Mr. Rashid Mahmood Langrial and member Operations Mr. Hamid ateef were also in the meeting.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the charter of demands presented by the business community. Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan stated that proposals on each of the demands have been prepared with consensus and will soon be submitted to the Prime Minister for approval.
All representatives from the Chambers appreciated the government’s efforts and extended their gratitude for addressing their concerns.
The meeting marked a significant step forward towards building a new era of cooperation and trust between the Federal Board of Revenue and the business community.
