Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, Minister for Minorities Affairs, Government of the Punjab, along with Mr. Farid Ahmad Tarar, Secretary of the Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Department, Punjab, met with Federal Minister for Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar.
The meeting was focused on strengthening coordination between federal and provincial human rights institutions for the protection and promotion of minority rights. Key areas of discussion included improving access to legal aid, implementation of minority-focused policies and inclusive development initiatives for minority communities across Pakistan.
Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar reaffirmed the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the constitutional rights of minorities. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts to ensure dignity, equal opportunities and full participation of minority citizens in every sphere of national life.
Both sides agreed to enhance collaboration and undertake joint initiatives aimed at promoting an inclusive, tolerant, and rights-based society.
