Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Dr. Musadik Malik, has taken serious notice of the recent killing of a black bear in Tangir, Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Minister has strongly reiterated that such acts of violence against wildlife are utterly unacceptable and will not be allowed to continue under any circumstances.
An FIR has already been lodged against the accused, and the local community has been actively engaged to ensure that all individuals involved in this heinous act are identified and held fully accountable in accordance with the law.
Dr. Musadik Malik has directed the Wildlife Management Boards to take strict and immediate action against those responsible. He further stated that he will be coordinating closely with the Honourable Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan to ensure timely and decisive measures are taken to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The Minister has reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the protection of Pakistan’s precious wildlife and to the strict enforcement of conservation laws across all regions of the country.
