PML-N Leader and Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ikhtiyar Wali Addresses Workers' Convention

Batkhela: July 04, 2025

Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League (N) and Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ikhtiyar Wali, delivered a passionate and strongly worded address at a Workers’ Convention held today in Batkhela. In his comprehensive remarks, he emphasized the need to strengthen the party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and launched a sharp critique of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government’s twelve-year tenure in the province.

Ikhtiyar Wali stated that whenever PML-N is weakened, it is the people and the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa who suffer. He urged party workers to focus on organizational strength, asserting that a strong party ensures a stronger province and a better future for its people.

Pointing to the PTI’s rule, he said that the leadership that ruled the province for the past 12 years brought destruction and disorder.

He criticized PTI for failing to fulfill its major promises, such as the construction of five million houses, the establishment of a "State of Madina," the building of hospitals, schools, and colleges, and the creation of one crore jobs, none of which materialized.

He described such destructive change as something that deserves to be set ablaze, blaming it for burdening the province with debt and delivering only chaos.

Referring to a recent tragic incident involving the Swat River, he condemned the absence of PTI leadership during the crisis, stating that no responsible figure came forward to rescue the affected people. He denounced such an insensitive and foul administration.

Ikhtiyar Wali criticized the current Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, stating that he still does not understand politics. He compared the PML-N’s development record by mentioning the construction of motorways, which he claimed the PTI government later mortgaged to the IMF.

He recalled that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had paid off the last IMF installment and told the institution that Pakistan was now standing on its own feet. However, under PTI’s rule, the country once again drowned in debt, and national liabilities doubled.

He clarified that they are not attempting to topple Gandapur’s government, but that Gandapur's position is already unstable and he should worry about saving his own seat. He expressed confidence that once PTI's government ends in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, PML-N will emerge as a strong governing party.

Highlighting Nawaz Sharif’s achievements, he said that had it not been for Nawaz Sharif’s contributions like the JF-17 Thunder and the nuclear program, Pakistan would not have been able to respond effectively to India.

He severely criticized former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar, accusing him of disqualifying Nawaz Sharif and handing the country over to incapable individuals.

In conclusion, Ikhtiyar Wali asserted that PML-N is committed to strengthening the nation, while others are working to weaken it.

He further revealed that PTI’s agenda even included handing over the nuclear bomb to the IMF. He rejected the narrative that Pakistan is on the verge of bankruptcy, declaring that Pakistan will always live, rise, and remain eternal.
