Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Minister of State Tallal Chaudhry visited the central Imambargah Asna Ashari in G-6 and reviewed the security and other arrangements.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with the administrators of Imambargah and inquired about the arrangements, to which the organizers expressed satisfaction. Mohsin Naqvi stated that a comprehensive security plan has been put in place for Muharram, miscreants are being monitored strictly, and surveillance has been further improved. He made it clear that security has been placed on high alert to thwart the nefarious designs of cowardly enemies.
Mohsin Naqvi stated that approval has also been granted for the deployment of the Army in Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and all provinces upon their request. He stated that the Army will remain available to support the civil administration in these regions.
DIG Islamabad Police briefed Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on the security arrangements. Federal Secretary for Interior Khurram Agha and SSP Shoaib were also present on the occasion.
