Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein held a telephone conversation this evening to exchange greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
The Prime Minister fondly recalled his telephone conversation with King Abdullah II on Eid ul Fitr two months ago, and reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to further enhance its bilateral ties with the Kingdom of Jordan.
The two leaders also discussed the recent Pakistan-India crisis where the Prime Minister briefed King Abdullah II on Pakistan’s perspective as well as its efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region. They also discussed the ongoing situation in Gaza, particularly the efforts to ensure delivery of humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people.
The Prime Minister reiterated his most cordial invitation to King Abdullah II to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his earliest convenience.
