Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry honoured 22 female students with cash prizes who secured A-1 grades in their matriculation board examinations.
In a landmark ceremony held at the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Head Office, the Federal Minister awarded each student a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 in recognition of their exceptional academic achievements.
The Minister termed the event historic as it marked the first time that all awardees were female students securing top grades, highlighting the growing prominence of women in academic excellence.
The Minister also presented cash awards to the teachers who played a crucial role in mentoring these students.
During his speech, Minister Junaid Anwar Chaudhry underscored the vital role of youth in the nation’s progress, stating, “Our youth are our most valuable asset. They are the leaders of tomorrow in every sphere of life.”
The ceremony further included the distribution of certificates to female students who successfully completed computer training at the KPT Industrial Home Computer Centre in Keamari.
Minister Chaudhry praised the initiative, emphasizing its importance in empowering women with digital skills essential for today’s job market.
Talking to the media, the Minister acknowledged the critical role of the press in community development and combating misinformation, especially amid external propaganda efforts. He highlighted the unity among civilians, media, and armed forces during national challenges as a powerful symbol of Pakistan’s resilience.
