Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the cattle market set up on the Expressway in connection with Eid-ul-Adha. He directed that a designated area be allocated for parking and also instructed a reasonable reduction in the per-animal fee.
The Interior Minister reviewed the facilities provided to traders and citizens in the cattle market and inspected the cleanliness arrangements. He observed the overall management of the market and met with traders who had come from various parts of the country, inquiring about the arrangements.
Responding to the traders' requests, the Interior Minister immediately ordered the expansion of the market area and directed for ample lighting and water supply within the market. Traders mentioned that the number of buyers remains low so far, and due to the intense weather, most people prefer visiting the market in the evening or at night.
The Interior Minister showed special interest in a white bull and praised its beauty. The trader informed that the asking price of the bull is Rs. 1.8 million, and it weighs over 14 maunds (approximately 560 kg). The Interior Minister also met with citizens present in the market, and on their request, ordered immediate repair of the nearby crossing bridge adjacent to the market.
