Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in his special message on Youm-e-Takbeer, extended heartiest congratulations to the nation. He stated that May 28, 1998 was the day when Pakistan responded to India's five nuclear tests with six nuclear detonations, sending a clear and decisive message to the enemy. He added that by conducting these tests, Pakistan demonstrated to the world that it is always ready to give a befitting response to any hostile adventure.
Interior Minister said that May 28 is a day of pride and honor for every Pakistani. He emphasized that the scientists, Armed Forces of Pakistan, and Political leadership laid the foundation of an invincible Pakistan, and the nation salutes all the scientists. He added that this achievement is a golden chapter in the history of national defense.
Mohsin Naqvi said that conducting nuclear tests in 1998 despite global pressure, economic sanctions, and threats was a prime example of the nation's courage and unity. He stated that Youm-e-Takbeer is not just a day, but a shining symbol of determination and resolve that gives us strength to overcome every difficulty. He added that it is a day of self-respect, national unity, and strategic sovereignty.
Interior Minister further stated that the mountains of Chaghi amplified Pakistan’s bold decision across the globe, and these mountains stand witness that Pakistan made no compromise in safeguarding its sovereignty. He said that the current challenges will also be overcome with the same unity and spirit of sacrifice as was shown on May 28.
The Interior Minister stressed that despite India's aggressive policies, Pakistan continues to show restraint, however, the bitter lesson of May 10 will always remain in the enemy’s memory. He said that India knows Pakistan’s defense capabilities are invincible, and now it will think a hundred times before any misadventure.
Mohsin Naqvi highlighted, “We have proven to the world that we are a responsible nuclear power.” He underscored that Pakistan desires peace but will never compromise on its sovereignty. He concluded by saying that on Youm-e-Takbeer, the entire nation pays tribute to the architects of national defense.
