Rawalpindi: May 06, 2025

Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, attended the inauguration ceremony of the internal sports competition at Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) today as the chief guest. During his speech, the Minister reminded the audience that Pakistan’s first women’s university was established by Mian Nawaz Sharif, and this university has played a significant role in serving women. He highlighted that the university represents the success of the daughters of Rawalpindi. He appreciated the efforts of the university faculty for their hard work and dedication, which not only reflects the commitment of the teachers but also provides a better environment for the students.

Minister Hanif Abbasi mentioned, “Just as we are building a new OPD block in RIC and renovating Holy Family Hospital, we must also focus on sports.” He further added that he was deeply impressed by the event, as it showcased the hard work and time management of the students—essential factors in the making of a successful nation. He emphasized the need to promote sports in Pakistan, just as Europe has done with their well-developed sports grounds, as healthy people form the foundation of a healthy nation.

“When I was the chairman of sports, I built the first cricket ground for women in Pakistan. I also built a hockey stadium for women. Today, the Vice Chancellor gave me the opportunity to address my daughters, and I pledge to take all necessary steps for their development. The VC has today asked me for a gym for the girls, and I promise that I will provide them with a state-of-the-art gym.”

Minister Hanif Abbasi stated, “We deliver on our promises and do not engage in deceitful politics. There is no other minister from Karachi to Peshawar who works for the public in this manner as we are doing.”

He further emphasized that all his projects are state-of-the-art and that his government has never resorted to deception or trickery. His government has provided millions in funds and facilities for the welfare of the public.

Minister Hanif Abbasi said, “As long as our army is guarding our borders and protecting our nation, we sleep in peace. The world now knows that the biggest terrorist is India, not Pakistan. We have proved, with the blood of our martyrs, that we fear no one.”

He urged the audience to evaluate the performance of leaders and decide who is truly working for the benefit of Pakistan. “We have worked to turn our dreams into reality, and we will continue to work for the progress of Pakistan.”

In conclusion, the Minister stated, “The enemy wants to threaten us by cutting off our water, but remember, if you block our water, we will block your breath. We fear no one and are determined to fulfill our mission. Pakistan Zindabad!”
