The Honorable Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Government of Pakistan, Mr. Khalid Hussain Magsi, paid an official visit to the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) Complex in Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi, on 23rd April 2025.
Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by Deputy Director General (Finance) Mr. Taufeeq Ali Abbasi, Secretary PSQCA Mr. A.K. Rind, and other senior officers and officials of the organization. This visit underscored the government’s ongoing commitment to fostering innovation and promoting quality standards across the country.
During his visit, the Honorable Minister appreciated the vital role of PSQCA in ensuring quality and standardization, especially in products for public consumption. He emphasized the need to enhance PSQCA’s outreach and effectiveness for the benefit of the common citizen. Mr. Khalid Hussain Magsi also held interactive discussions with the employees of PSQCA, attentively listening to their concerns and assuring them that appropriate steps would be taken to resolve their issues in a timely manner.
The Minister was accompanied by several key officials, including Director to Minister Mr. Shakeel Arshad, Protocol Officer Mr. Farooq Nadir, Director (I&E) Engr. Khalid Ahmed Bablani, Director (Finance) Syed Ali Muhammad, Director (CAK) Engr. Muhammad Ashraf Palari, Director (QCC) Dr. Tahira Zaheer, Deputy Director (Admn.) Mr. Abdul Waheed Memon, and Media Incharge Mr. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Solangi. Their presence highlighted the significance of the visit and reinforced the Ministry’s focus on collaborative development in science and technology.
