H.E Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe, Ambassador of the Rwanda called on Minister for Defence, Khawaja Muhammad Asif here in his office in Islamabad today. Defence Minister welcomed the visiting dignitary and exclaimed that Pakistan greatly values the friendly relations with Rwanda. He stressed that Pakistan will continue to further enhance cooperation with Rwanda within the framework of regional and international organizations. The Minister said that Pakistan and Rwanda shared the same resolve for world peace with both countries in the top five of troop-contributing countries in UN peacekeeping. The visiting dignitary lauded Pakistan’s contribution in finding a solution to conflicts on the African continent while currently being a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council. Both sides agreed to work together in many sectors such as trade, investment, education, and defence.
