The Kashmir Orphans Relief Trust (KORT) welcomed Wajiha Qamar, Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training, to its headquarters in Mirpur, where board members briefed her on the organization's humanitarian initiatives. During the visit, Minister Wajiha toured KORT's purpose-built orphanage, which provides shelter, education, and healthcare to hundreds of orphaned children. She commended KORT's comprehensive approach to child welfare, including its focus on education, food security, and empowerment programs for widows and individuals with disabilities. “KORT’s dedication to uplifting vulnerable communities through education and social support is truly commendable,” said Minister Wajiha. “Their efforts align with our national objectives of inclusive development and human capital investment.” The organization expressed gratitude for the minister's visit, viewing it as an endorsement of their mission to provide hope and opportunity to marginalized populations in Azad Kashmir and beyond.
