The Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) organized a special ceremony to mark Youm-e-Iqbal (Iqbal Day) in honor of the death anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, attended as the chief guest and paid tribute to the national poet and philosopher. In his address, Dr. Tariq Fazal highlighted Iqbal’s contributions, stating, "Through his poetry, Dr. Iqbal awakened the Muslim Ummah and granted them intellectual liberation." He emphasized that "Allama Iqbal laid the foundation for the concept of Pakistan, guiding us toward a destined path." The Federal Minister noted that Iqbal’s poetry carries messages of self-reliance (khudi), freedom, hard work, and relentless struggle. He urged the nation to adopt Iqbal’s ideals for national progress and unity, saying, "We must work together for the country’s development and to thwart the conspiracies of our enemies." Dr. Chaudhry also addressed contemporary challenges, stating, "All Muslim nations progressing today are under threat from enemies. Pakistan’s adversaries are also targeting our prosperity and stability." He reassured that "the Government of Pakistan and the Armed Forces are working tirelessly to safeguard the nation." Paying homage to national heroes, he remarked, "Living nations never forget their heroes. Let us strive to fulfill Iqbal’s dreams." He concluded with optimism, "Insha’Allah, Pakistan will progress by following the principles of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam." The event served as a reminder of Iqbal’s enduring legacy and a call for national unity and resilience.
