The Consul General of Pakistan, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, attended the Pakistan Heritage and Resolution Day event organized by the Pakistani American Law Enforcement Society of the New York Police Department (NYPD). The ceremony took place at the NYPD Headquarters and was marked by a strong display of community pride, cultural celebration, and public service. The event was graced by Mayor of New York, Mr. Eric Adams, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar, the Police Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and a large number of Pakistani American police officers, their families, and prominent members of the Pakistani American community. In his address, Consul General Atozai highlighted the important contributions of Pakistani American officers in strengthening peace and security across New York’s diverse neighborhoods. He commended their dedication to public service and their humanitarian efforts in Pakistan, which reflect a deep commitment to their roots and sense of global responsibility. He praised their initiative in celebrating Pakistan’s heritage at the heart of one of the world’s most vibrant cities, calling them “true ambassadors of Pakistan” who exemplify the values of unity, resilience, and pride in cultural identity. The event underscored the vital role of Pakistani Americans in law enforcement and celebrated their achievements as a bridge between communities.
