Pakistan Day reminds us of that electrifying moment in history when, on 23rd March 1940, the Muslims of the subcontinent resolved to establish an independent state. This day stands as a symbol of our national consciousness, collective identity, and unwavering determination that ultimately blessed us with a homeland — Pakistan. As we commemorate this day 84 years later, it is not only a time to honor the sacrifices of the past, but also to chart a clear path for the present and the future. We must remember that the 23rd of March 1940 was a pivotal step towards realizing the dream envisioned by the philosopher-poet Allama Iqbal. Today, eight decades on, it is our duty to breathe life into that dream by striving to transform Pakistan into a strong and prosperous nation on the global stage. The Uraan Pakistan campaign has been launched precisely to reignite this spirit. It is a call to action — a national movement to realize the dreams of our founding generation. Under Uraan Pakistan, our government has laid out a bold and forward-looking national vision. We aim to turn Pakistan into a $1 trillion economy by 2035, and a $3 trillion economy by 2047 — the 100th anniversary of our independence. This is not merely a dream, but a practical roadmap built on five foundational pillars, the 5Es. These include enhancing exports, embracing digital growth through e-commerce, empowering people, ensuring environmental sustainability, and achieving energy self-sufficiency. These five pillars will help lay the foundation for sustainable development in Pakistan. However, true national progress cannot be achieved by economic initiatives alone. It demands political stability, continuity of policies, peace and harmony, and ensuring consistent reforms. These are the key elements that determine the success of any vision. We must understand that progress does not come through temporary slogans — it requires hard work, institutional reform, and a persistent march in the right direction. Now is the time to rise above our political differences, place national interest above all, and cultivate a democratic, economic, and social environment that supports long-term development. Nations cannot prosper without peace, harmony, and tolerance. We must foster moral and collective resilience, promote constructive dialogue, and stay away from hate, division, and chaos. Only a peaceful society can thrive in the fields of education, research, economy, and industry. On this Pakistan Day, I invite the entire nation to take a solemn pledge — that we will not be content with just chanting “Long Live Pakistan”, but will strive day and night to build a modern, prosperous, dignified, and developed Pakistan. We will equip our children with modern education, science, technology, moral values, and patriotism, so they can take this nation to new heights. We must rise above individual interests and become part of Pakistan’s collective progress. Let us pledge today, on Pakistan Day, that we will transform Uraan Pakistan into a national movement, adopt its goals as our personal mission, and play our full role in making our country a symbol of progress and stability in the comity of nations.
