As we celebrate Pakistan National Day today, I extend my warmest felicitations and heartfelt congratulations to all Pakistanis, particularly those residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The 23rd of March marks the historic adoption of the Lahore Resolution in 1940, a decisive moment in our struggle for an independent homeland under the visionary leadership of Quaid-e- Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. This day serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by our forefathers and the visionary leaders who dreamed of a sovereign nation for the Muslims of the subcontinent. It also commemorates the turning point in our freedom struggle, inspired by the ideals of Allama Muhammad Iqbal, the great poet, philosopher, and thinker who envisioned a separate homeland for Muslims. On this special occasion, I extend my deepest gratitude to the leadership and people of the UAE for hosting over 1.7 million Pakistanis with warmth and generosity. It is our duty to uphold the highest standards of respect for the laws, regulations, and traditions of our host country. Let us strive to be exemplary ambassadors of Pakistan, embodying the values of peace, harmony, tolerance, and progress, while contributing positively to the UAE’s vibrant multicultural society. In line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, who has declared 2025 as the Year of Community, I call upon the Pakistani community to actively participate in initiatives that strengthen social cohesion, foster mutual understanding, and promote unity. Let us align ourselves with this noble theme by engaging in community service, supporting charitable causes, and building bridges of cooperation with other nationalities. In this spirit, I am delighted to announce that a book titled “????? ???? ???? ?????” (Sheikh Zayed: Builder of the Nation) will be launched during a special Pakistan Day reception to be hosted by the Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi. This remarkable work, written by Mr. Khan Zaman Saroor, a distinguished Pakistani, is a heartfelt tribute from the Pakistani community to the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE. The book, written in both Urdu and Arabic, reflects Mr. Khan’s deep admiration for the UAE and its leadership. Having arrived in the Emirates in 1969, even before the unification of the UAE, Mr. Khan’s journey is a testament to the enduring bond between Pakistan and the UAE. Together, let us move forward with determination and optimism, seizing every opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE. May this Pakistan Day inspire us to reaffirm our commitment to the ideals of unity, progress, and prosperity, as we continue our journey toward a brighter and more inclusive future for all. Happy Pakistan Day! Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi s Pakistan's Envoy to the United Arab Emirates
