Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM) Senator Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, Counsellor Embassy Republic of Turkiye Ms. Yaprak Ece and Country Representative of TiKA in Islamabad, Miss Saliha Tuna shares an Iftaar Dinner along with the orphan children here in Islamabad. In the glorious event, organized by Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TiKA) in collaboration with PBM, around 300 guests including 100 orphan children from PBM’s Sweet Home were present. Managing Director PBM Sen. Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt, in his address, accredited the kind gesture of Turkish Ambassador for the people and Pakistan while highlighting the Pak-Turk brotherly relations. He also admired the remarkable services of Turkish state-run aid agency extending support to PBM in various social welfare tasks, under its vibrant Country Representative Ms. Saliha Tuna. Managing Director PBM highlighted that PBM is a pioneer social safety net of the country, having its district-level integrated and effective service delivery mechanism. “Extending the federal government’s vision, under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, to comfort the lives of poor people, PBM is executing multiple nationwide social welfare missions while supporting the widows, poor patients, differently-abled persons, poor women and girls, deprived and orphan children and other vulnerable masses.”, he added. He further explained that while undertaking the responsibility to protect our future generations from the brutal cycle of poverty, PBM is running its 160 schools for rehabilitation of child laborers, 46 Pakistan Sweet Homes for the poor and orphan children and Orphan & Widow Support Program in 21 districts. Moreover, PBM is also funding the deaf and mute children for their expensive cochlear implant surgeries enabling them to live an independent and successful life ahead. Managing Director PBM Sen. Capt. Shaheen Khalid Butt also expressed his passion to protect every poor and orphan child of the country from economic and social exploitation by providing them all the basic necessities including food, education and health. Addressing the ceremony, the Country Representative TiKA expressed her pleasure for accompanying the orphan children and sharing Iftaar meal with them. Underlining the importance of caring the orphan children, the Ms. Saliha Tuna appreciated the PBM’s efforts for nurturing the future generations providing them all the basic needs of life in its Sweet Homes. She also assured for every possible support while strengthening PBM-TiKA partnerships to achieve the common goal of serving the poor masses.
