Ambassador Mudassir meets Javad Zarif

Ambassador of Pakistan in Tehran, Muhammad Mudassir Tipu met Vice President for Strategic Affairs of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif today on February 22,2025. Both sides reiterated their commitment to expand bilateral cooperation in all fields including economy and security. They also reiterated their desire to achieve the trade target of $ 10 billion. Ambassador Mudassir discussed position of current cooperation between the two neighbors and emphasized the importance of collective action to strengthen regional peace. Mr. Zarif appreciated role of Pakistan as an important regional country and neighbor of Iran. He also called for collaboration in various multilateral fora including OIC and the UN. The two sides also emphasized the issue of expanding comprehensive cooperation in fighting against terrorism, extremism, and all types of smuggling and to enhance regional peace. ** **
