Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja Praises NUST Engineering Students for Innovation

Minister of State for IT&T, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, met with engineering students from NUST and applauded their dedication to research and innovation. She recognized their hard work in developing advanced engineering projects and commended their commitment to excellence. The students shared that NUST teams have been actively working on these projects for the past 12 years, with each new batch learning from the previous one, ensuring continuous research and technology transfer. They emphasized that their goal is not just financial success but to drive innovation and technological advancement in Pakistan. The students highlighted their ambition to compete on an international level, particularly in the UK and other developed countries, and proudly shared their rising global rankings. Minister Shaza Fatima personally reviewed the Formula One car designed by the students, a testament to their technical expertise, and appreciated their dedication. Their remarkable work has also gained global recognition, with Tesla sponsoring the NUST team in acknowledgment of their achievements. Expressing her pride, Minister Shaza Fatima reaffirmed the government’s support for research and innovation in higher education. “The success of NUST’s engineering team reflects Pakistan’s growing strength in technology and innovation,” she said.She encouraged students to continue their groundbreaking work, assuring them that their achievements would be fully supported as they put Pakistan on the global technological map.
