Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, General Muhammad Baqeri called on Minister for Defence, Defence Production and Aviation, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, at his office in Islamabad. The Minister expressed that both friendly countries enjoy cordial and fraternal ties nourished by centuries old religious and cultural affinities. He expressed satisfaction that bilateral relations are progressing positively in all fields. Both sides showed satisfaction on progress in various areas of mutual interest including joint border management and counter terrorism measures and aimed at enhanced cooperation in areas of common interest in future.
