Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Chaudhry Salik Hussain, in his message on the occasion of Christmas, extended heartfelt greetings to the Christian community in Pakistan and around the world. He stated that the festival of Christmas teaches universal love, brotherhood, tolerance, and selflessness, which play a key role in guiding any society towards progress. Quaid-e-Azam announced a policy of equality, freedom, and protection for all communities without discrimination based on religion, profession, or ethnicity. The Constitution of Pakistan guarantees fundamental rights to all citizens regardless of religion, caste, or race. The Government of Pakistan is committed to providing equal opportunities to all Pakistanis, including minorities. The Christian community of Pakistan has played a positive role in the construction and development of the country, national defense, judiciary, and in every field of knowledge and action. In recent decades, a wave of religious intolerance has surged worldwide, necessitating the implementation of the message of interfaith brotherhood and religious tolerance for humanity. Pakistan is currently going through a difficult phase in history, where we all need to work tirelessly as one nation for its development and prosperity. This country belongs to all of us. Let us, on the occasion of Christmas, make Pakistan an example of religious tolerance and brotherhood, turning it into a cradle of peace and playing our part in overcoming its challenges.
