The Ministry of Human Rights, in collaboration with the Foundation for Ageing and Inclusive Development, organized a National Seminar on Ageing and Inclusive Development in Islamabad. Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights, Mrs. Saba Sadiq, emphasized the importance of recognizing senior citizens as the pillars of society and guardians of traditions. She highlighted the government’s efforts to ensure dignity, security, and well-being for the elderly through targeted legislation, welfare funds, and enhanced healthcare services. In her speech, Mrs. Saba Sadiq underscored the challenges faced by senior citizens, including financial insecurity and neglect, and called for combating ageism to foster a more inclusive society. She urged families and communities to actively support senior citizens, ensuring their participation in social and decision-making processes.
