Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Kareem Kundi, and Syed Naveed Qamar attended a gala dinner hosted by MOL Group to commemorate its 25th anniversary of operations in Pakistan. The event celebrated the group’s remarkable contributions to the country’s energy sector, particularly in hydrocarbon exploration and production. In his address as chief guest, Minister Jam Kamal Khan congratulated MOL Group and its leadership, including representatives from Hungary, for their commitment and professionalism since entering the Pakistani market in 1999. He acknowledged the group’s pivotal role as the operator of the Tal Block in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one of Pakistan’s largest hydrocarbon-producing regions. The Minister highlighted his previous collaboration with MOL Group during his tenure as Minister of State for Petroleum, where he worked closely with MOL’s leadership to facilitate gas provision and exploration activities. “MOL Group has set a benchmark in the use of advanced technologies, adherence to international best practices, and exemplary safety standards, significantly transforming Pakistan’s oil and gas sector,” he remarked. Minister Jam emphasized Pakistan’s immense untapped potential in hydrocarbon exploration, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and offshore waters. He invited global investors to explore these opportunities, assuring them of the government’s commitment to providing a business-friendly environment and stable regulatory framework. “As we navigate economic challenges, Pakistan is on a path of stability and development, with the energy sector playing a key role. MOL Group’s 25-year legacy reflects a partnership of mutual trust and shared aspirations,” he added. The Minister expressed gratitude to MOL Group and its partners, congratulating them on their milestone achievement. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the energy sector and fostering economic growth through continued collaboration with international partners.
