Message from Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Federal Minister for Law & Justice and Human Rights, on International Human Rights Day
Islamabad: December 09, 2024

“On International Human Rights Day, we reaffirm Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to the principles of equality, justice, and human dignity. This day reminds us of our shared responsibility to protect the fundamental rights of every individual, regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity, or background. Human rights are the foundation of a peaceful and progressive society. Through its Constitution, Pakistan guarantees these rights and has made significant progress in areas such as gender equality, minority protection, combating child labor, and ensuring digital safety. While we have achieved much through legislation, awareness campaigns, and partnerships, the journey continues. Achieving an inclusive and fair society requires sustained effort from government institutions, civil society, the private sector, and every citizen. On this occasion, we thank all those working to uphold human rights in Pakistan. Let us pledge to build a nation that celebrates diversity, promotes equality, and ensures that human rights are a reality for everyone.”
