Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the F-8 Exchange Chowk Interchange project and reviewed the construction work. Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the underpass of the interchange will be opened for traffic on December 31 and the complete project will be inaugurated in the second week of February. The Interior Minister directed that the project should be completed within the stipulated time frame. He appreciated the contractor, CDA and workers for continuing work round the clock even during the protest. He advised the contractor and CDA officials to continue working with the same zeal and spirit. Moreover, Mohsin Naqvi said that F-10 Chowk will also be made signal-free to maintain traffic flow on Jinnah Avenue. The Federal Interior Minister also reviewed the layout plan for the F-10 Chowk project and directed necessary changes in the plan. He stated that the construction work on the F-10 Chowk project will be started soon so that The project can also be completed along with the F-8 Exchange Interchange. He said that our aim is to provide every possible facility to the public. He stated that with the inauguration of these projects, the public will see a significant improvement in Islamabad’s traffic. The Interior Minister was given a detailed briefing about the construction work. It was apprised that the piling work of the project will be completed on December 3, while the pile cap work will be completed by December 12, 2024. Furthermore, it was highli that the project will be completed in record time.
