Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights Condemns Murder of Zara

The Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights, Mrs. Saba Sadiq, strongly condemns the heinous murder of Zara, who fell victim to extreme violence. Mrs. Saba Sadiq expressed deep sorrow and concern over Zara's brutal murder, stating that such perpetrators should be severely punished. She contacted DPO Sialkot, who briefed her on the incident's facts. Mrs. Saba Sadiq instructed the DPO to conduct an impartial investigation, regardless of the accused's gender, to ensure justice and punish the culprits. She emphasized to use all resources to punish the criminals according to the law and protect women from violence. The Government of Pakistan has a zero-tolerance policy for domestic violence against women, and perpetrators will not be spared under any circumstances. Mrs. Saba Sadiq appreciated the police and Rescue 1122's efforts in finding the victim's remains. To end violence against women, Mrs. Saba Sadiq assured Zara's family and the public that every effort would be made to ensure justice is served. She will soon visit Zara's family to offer condolences.
