PR No.150 GOVERNMENT IS COMMITTED FOR PROMOTION OF SPORTS IN COUNTRY: PIRZADA Islamabad: March 16, 2017

Federal Minister for Inter-provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada has said that the present government is committed for the promotion of sports in the country.

He was addressing the closing ceremony of 16th National Men & Women Netball Championship 2017 organized by Pakistan Netball Federation in collaboration with Pakistan Sports Board at Sports Complex on Thursday.

Riaz Pirzada said that the Pakistan Sports Board is making efforts for the enhancement of the standard of sports, as it offers venues to the National Sports Federations to establish training camps and hold sports competitions.

He noted that it is very positive that the sports have revived in the country and urged the Pakistani youth to come towards sports fields. Our masses should also come in sports fields to encourage our players, he added.

The Federal Minister said that sports competitions should also be held at school, college and university levels. He said policy is being formulated for giving privileges to the players.

Federal Minister Riaz Pirzada congratulated the winners and the other teams who participated in the Championship.

He also congratulated Secretary Pakistan Netball Federation Mudassir Arain for the successful conduct of the Championship.

At the end, the Federal Minister distributed prizes among the players.
