*Sports Carnival October 18-20, 2024*

A three-day Girls Sports Carnival has been organized at the Pakistan Sports Board by the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training, the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Islamabad, and the Federal Directorate of Education Islamabad. The aim of this carnival is to highlight the skills and talent of young female athletes from across the country. A total of 4,000 women participated in various sports competitions, including track and field events, basketball, football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, and tennis. Federal Secretary for Education, Mohiuddin Ahmed Wani, emphasized the importance of the carnival, stating, "Through sports, we are providing girls with opportunities to engage in physical activities." A large number of women from across the country, including Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took part in the event. The event was inaugurated by the Federal Minister for Education, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who tossed the volleyball to start the match. While sharing his thoughts, he said that such carnivals provide opportunities to empower young girls and encourage them to pursue their passions through sports. The special guest praised the strength, perseverance, and determination of the participants and said, "I congratulate everyone involved in organizing and participating in the carnival for making it a success." The opening ceremony of the Girls Sports Carnival was attended by government officials, who played a key role in making the event a success.
