After attending the 23rd Session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Prime Ministers of Kazakhstan H.E. Oljas Bektenov and Prime Minister of Belarus H.E. Roman Golovchenko left for their homelands. PMs of both countries were seen off at Islamabad Airport by Federal Minister Board of Investment, Privatization & Communications Abdul Aleem Khan. Talking to then Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that he is looking forward for such bilateral ties and visits in the future as well which will prove to be very beneficial for the region. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan H.E. Oljas Bektenov and H.E. Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko expressed their gratitude to Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan and said that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s meeting was held at Islamabad in a wonderful and high-level manner and their stay in Pakistan was very pleasant. They added that they are carrying lots of positive hopes and happy memories from Pakistan through this visit. An important meeting was held between Pakistan's Federal Minister for Communications, Privatization and Board of Investment Abdul Aleem Khan and Russia's Deputy Minister for Transport, Dimitri Zverev, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting. In this meeting, mutual cooperation in the field of Communications between Russia and Pakistan was discussed in detail while new projects were considered. Talking in the meeting, Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan said that the road network through China and Afghanistan to Central Asian countries will be important for Pakistan while Russian Deputy Transport Minister Dimitri Zverev expressed keen interest in investing in Pakistan's Communication sector. In the meeting, the Ministers of the two countries said that the meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization was very positive and useful while this initiative will play an important role in the development of the region. Federal Secretary Communications and Secretary Railways also attended the meeting and gave a briefing on important issues in the field of Communications.
